A couple of questions today.

1. Is life getting harder because I’m simply getting older, thus more aware?

2. Is life getting harder because Dubya is the root of all evil and thus even the rice grain sized plot of land on the map that is Malaysia is also affected?

3. Is life getting harder because we just have incredibly stupid (or incredibly smart, depending on how you look at it) people running this country?

4. If life is getting harder for me, what about those people who are poorer than me?

  1. 1. Well, as we grow older, we are more insightful. Thus, we are more aware of many things in life. Actually, being more aware can save us from many heartaches, headaches, failures and from life complexities. Basically, being aware allows us simplify life. I think.

    3. Maybe not stupid, but selfish people running the country.

    4. Their life would be much harder. But you won’t be affected by it emotionally because you don’t live with them. But if you, you will most likely be quite grateful and happy that you are better off. I think.

  2. 1. Life gets more complex as your relationships with people get more complex. No longer are you a kid who needs to think of nothing more than going to school and studying and playing games. You are faced with more complex personalities that you have to deal and react with. Also, you are no longer dependent on your parents to provide. You have to do that for yourself, which involves thinking for yourself.
So, what’s happened is you require more brain gymnastics to get you through the maze of adulthood. You should find yourself going through easy times and complex times, like a roller coaster. So, life isn’t getting harder, just you are at a different stage.

2.Since WWII the US of A has had major influences on all other nations. Prior to WWII the USA was considered a diplomatic minnow in international politics. Now, it influences everyone on the planet, but prior to this there were always nations doing similar things. In the case of Malaya [as it was called] England had a major influence.
So, Dubya isn’t to blame directly. I don’t think the US influence has made it more difficult as a lot of policy etc would have previously been determined by the British instead. So, that part of life was always complex in a way.

    3. Yes, the politicians in all countries can make a difference. In the world, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. The great divide is increasing, and without some change of policy it will continue to occur.

    4. See 3. Life is getting harder for them all the time. All the more reason for everyone at one stage or another to get involved in some sort of group that helps the less fortunate.

  3. I was just blogging about it and I realised that it’s because we’re older now and more insightful. Our parents went through the same phase last time and now its our turn. Already we’re finding it difficult but still can cope a lil….seriously, the poor…worst hit
