Fly like an eagle in KL sky.

Sorry, I can’t help but break into Seal’s Fly Like an Eagle. Dooo dooo dooo dooo…fly like an eagle let my spirits carry me, I wanna fly… slippin’ slippin’ slippin’…

Sorry, just let me be.

# – This is a Cessna 172 aka very small plane.

# – This is Reuben. He is a pilot. He will be flying the very small plane.

# – These are Kim, Huai Bin and Suan, commonly known as the passengers.

# – These are propellers on the very small plane. It must be turning at all times during a flight, otherwise one would considered to be in deeeeep trouble.

# – This is Kim illustrating the danger of standing close to propellers. Your tongue may stick out and you may DIE. This is not recommended to be reenacted, especially by children.

# – This is a lift-off, which means very small plane has managed to soar and not hit the ground into smithereens of metal, shrapnel and body parts.

# – And small plane is flying because propeller is turning. Phew.

# – This is a cockpit. Cockpit is still one of the dirtiest non-dirty words in the world.

# – This is Kim, before Reuben the pilot made multiple 90 degree turns.

# – Oh look, a dam!

# – This is Kim, after Reuben the pilot made multiple 90 degree turns AND TURNING ENGINE OFF MID-AIR. For posterity’s sake, she held her breakfast in and did not use the bag.

# – This is a video with some of the crazy mad turns Reuben did.

# – This is pilot and passengers, proving that flying in a very small plane is a safe & MOST AWESOMESAUCE experience ever.

This KL by Air experience goes for only RM 600 per hour with up to 3 passengers. Reuben is a certified pilot, a soon-to-be flight instructor and passionate about plane acrobatics ;)

A pearl of wisdom from Eleanor Roosevelt.

“Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt

One of my favourite quotes but I gotta admit, I find myself too many times failing to refrain from discussing or ranting about people I dislike. It is an illness. A mental illness. In fact, a few weeks ago I promised my boyfriend that I would stop getting angry and instead, channel my energy into work and sharing the little I know with people who read this blog as well as the toughest one; sending positive thoughts to those people I dislike.

He’s a wise one, that one. It worked and I did become a whole lot calmer. Of course, being me, I had to fall off the wagon and now I have to start all over again. Cheers to more positive thoughts. Life is too short to be constantly angry and pissed off about OTHER people.
