2009 CNY Fashion

This year, my CNY clothes were mostly gotten from Jo’s adorable Paperdoll boutique in Tropicana City Mall.

On my first day I wore a mini floral dress accented by a pink ribbon.

The following is the dress I’m wearing for the second day of CNY. A gingham dress I got from Jo’s online boutique before the brick and mortar shop was launched.

The yellow chiffon shirt is from MNG (conveniently, a shirt I got for CNY last year and never wore) and I’m wearing it because I don’t think Granny fancies seeing so much of her little granddaughter’s cleavage =P

I’ve got another dress and high waisted skirt from Paperdoll I’ve yet to show here. Will feature them when I find an occasion to wear :)

Happy Chinese New Year, how was your angpow collection?

Aww inducing pictures.

Everyone’s gathered together for Reunion Dinner, including the pups. Yeah, my Dad got another black & white shih tzu and he’s named Brad. We prefer to call him Brat though cause he’s the most boisterous, naughty little thing. He has no qualms jumping off from high places and he always lands on the floor by rolling on his body. It’s nerve racking and funny at the same time.

3 stooges
Clockwise from top: Brad, Charlie and Sisi’s arse.

Sisi took a while to warm up to the two boys. She’s such a diva! Probably because she’s been the only one getting the family’s attention for a long time. She’s okay now though, even taking her own initiative to play with the other two :)

Sharing a bone.

On the other hand, Charlie and Brad are bonding amazingly well. They share their chew toys and even nap together!

My favourite picture!

It’s CNY Eve and I hope you’ll all have a drama-free family reunion dinner. Eat well, sleep well for tomorrow’s angpow collecting frenzy, w00t!

GONG HEI FATT CHOY!

BUSY

Phew! Seems like an eternity since I last blogged. Just got back from Singapore, had a fantastic time. Going down to Johor tomorrow for 3 days. Will be driving down alone, it’s gonna be an adventure. Mom if you’re reading this, pls.don’t.freak.out.

Here are some pictures from Singapore. Besides work, there was a lot of fun involved too. I played bowling for the first time in years. I guess I didn’t do too bad.

Posing with my helmet. The loaned helmet wasn’t smelly…thank goodness.

Finally had my craving for kueh chap satisfied after 2 years!!!! We ate at Newton Circus Hawker Centre, which was pretty good. I take back all my criticism of Singaporean food, I was merely too busy and depressed to seek out good food last time :P

Oyster omelette was fantastic too.

Space for disabled patrons.
The thing that caught my eye was how wheelchair friendly the hawker centre is. Notice I was sitting on a bench while my friend was seated on a stool in the space meant for the physically disabled. Malaysia should emulate little things like this, don’t even cost money!

Pork scratchings
This is unrelated to Singapore, but I came back to a bag of these. Sinful, artery clogging pork scratchings…ahh :)

Gonna go pack now. Toodles.
