The best discovery in a while

Recently, I was asked to review this new beauty gadget called the Olay Regenerist Megasonic. It is basically a battery-powered brush with rotating bristles that is designed to gently remove dead skin cells and impurities while deeply cleansing your face.

# – The Olay Regenerist Megasonic.

The product is sturdy and ergonomic, very comfortable in my abnormally tiny hand hehe. There are two buttons, a on/off button and a 2-speed control.

# – The cleaning system comes with a small tube of Olay Skin Renewal Cleanser.

I was quite skeptical at first but after weeks of usage, I have found myself unable to live without it!

I use it 4 times a week, although it’s gentle enough for daily use. The reason why I don’t use it everyday is because I don’t wear makeup all the time so I use it on alternate days. After every usage, my face feels as though it’s gone through a proper facial, but without the tightness or dryness.

# – Me and my new toy.

I brought it along to my recent 3-week Eurotrip and I don’t know if it was psychological or not, but I really think that it helped my face absorbed moisturiser better post-cleansing in the dry cold weather! The fact that my skin hasn’t started to feel oilier (because of the different weather climate overseas), indicates that it is doing a very good job.

Plus it’s super convenient because it’s light, which makes it travel-friendly. It really doesn’t take up much space in my travel bag!

# – It does claim to deeply cleanse and gently exfoliates while priming skin for anti-aging regimen.

I haven’t seen a drastic change to my face age-wise, which I suppose is a great thing because it means my face isn’t really getting older hehe.

# – I use it to buff off blackheads and dead skin cells off my nose.

# – I use it to buff my lips too, which makes them soft and kissable always :D

I guess what I am trying to say is that I think it’s important to acknowledge that aging cannot be reversed overnight, as it requires daily effort to maintain a youthful, age-defying skin and having the Olay Regenerist Megasonic would be a great addition to your anti-aging regimen.

# – Keeping the wrinkles away from my forehead.

# – Not forgetting the cheeks…upward motion. Never down.

You should know that the Olay Regenerist Megasonic is water-resistant so you could use it in the shower (the small size of it provides such a good grip!), which I often do. I would use it on my neck and decolletage while showering. You know what they say, the first giveaway of a woman’s age is her neck!

# – Water-resistant.

# – Post-cleansing. All fresh and happy!

If you’re thinking of getting one, it’s available at all major supermarkets and pharmacies/drug stores nationwide at the price of RM129.90.

Hi, I would like to know is it still effective if we use it with other cleanser? cos my skin is kind of sensitive and I don’t really dare to use other products. At first, I wanted to try the clarisonic brush but it’s way tooo expensive and now Olay has it at a cheaper price, I would like to try it if I can use it with my own cleanser.

      Hi Michelle,

Am not sure but i don’t think it matters that you use your own favourite cleanser. It’s the brush that buffers your skin afterall.
