It’s so important to stay hygienic especially if you’ve got a furkid like me. As much as I try to keep Charlie as clean as possible with baths and monthly groomings, I really don’t want to imagine what sort of germs and microscopic dirt (and sometimes not so microscopic) that he picks up from our daily walks and brings into our home.
# – Bonding time with my Charlie.
Speaking of germs, Dettol instantly comes to mind.
# – The most familiar Dettol Liquid.
I have fond memories of Dettol Liquid. When I was still in college during semester breaks, I used to work at exhibitions as a runner or usherette for extra pocket money. Those jobs required me to be on my feet for long periods of time, sometimes up to 12 hours a day.
I would come home with painful blisters on my feet and my Mom would make me a bucket of warm water with a dash of Dettol Liquid thrown in for me to soak my feet in. My feet would feel so much better after. Those were the best damn soaking water, thanks to Dettol and a lot of motherly love :)
Although I live away from my Mom now, I still use a lot of Dettol in my life. That’s because when it comes to personal & general hygiene, my BF and I never skim on quality.
When we first moved into our house, the very first thing we bought was the Dettol Disenfectant Spray. We use it on every surface we could reach, windows, tables, counters, tables, cabinets, you name it, we’ve sprayed it. It was the only way we knew how to make our house liveable.

Now, we just use it whenever Charlie has an “accident” in the house. It works brilliantly!
The Dettol Handwash is my best friend whenever I’m preparing food. Especially for a pet owner, I do not ever just wash my hands with plain water and call it a day.
# – Every wash basin in our house has a Dettol Handwash.
And I cook A LOT. And the last thing I want to do is give myself and the BF food poisoning on a weekly basis…
# – Look ma! I can chop without looking!
Oh and since I do actually chop food without looking sometimes, I often get cuts on my fingers :P I definitely have to work on watching where I land the knife but right now, thanks to Dettol I can keep infections away!
Of course, there’s no surprise that we also use Dettol for our showers.
There are 7 types of Dettol Shower Gels and our regular favourite is the yellow one called “Fresh”, simply because it’s enhanced with citrus fragrance. Both BF and I do have another type of shower gel on the side each for when we feel like showering with something different. He uses the dark blue one called “Active”, especially due to his long-hours. This keeps him protected all day long by killing germs that cause bad B.O.
Personally, I use the pink one called “Skincare”.

I am pleased to know that Dettol has come up with new and improved fragrances for its shower gels and soap bars. With the exception of the Original and Herbal (no point fixing something that’s not broken), all of them had undergone a scent makeover! Gone is the clinical antiseptic smell that comes with and in place, much more pleasant fragrances for indulgent daily showers.

The entire range of Dettol Shower Gels and soap bars are made for everybody in the family, with every fragrant and variant tailored suited for different individuals.
# – What’s your favourite?
# – Mine is the pink “Skincare” with added moisturiser.
# – Love it cause it makes me feel luxurious and pampered. And smell so pleasant!
Dettol’s my choice for daily showers as well as every other aspect of my family life. There should not be any compromise when it comes to germ protection for your loved ones especially now when it smells so good!
