I bet the campaign is a personal vendetta!

Is it, is it not?

Honestly, I find it difficult to answer to that. She has definitely prompted me to start the campaign, but all she was to me was just a moment of clarity. Does her 0.2% involvement in this campaign makes it a personal vendetta againts her? If it does, then yes it is personal.

Hereā€™s my take.

Xiaxue has been asked again and again to tone it down but no, she has to justify it with the most juvenile reasons conceivable. And then fish for sympathy.

All it took was a simple ā€œSorry, what I said was callous and insensitiveā€. No plus no minus, and all these would not have happened.

Itā€™s great that youths have their own opinions and stand by them, but not when theyā€™re so utterly skewed from common sense. Call me a sentimental fool, but I do intend to see the next generation in an honourable light. Oh yes, I believe in raising kids with a cane. What the hell, why donā€™t you call me a child abuser now?

Itā€™s exactly the people who have responded again and again with nitpicking (ie: that Iā€™m attacking her income, Iā€™m jealous of her looks, etc) that this campaign continues to prove its worthy existence. I wish these people would take a break and look at the significance of this campaign instead of polluting it with trivialities.

She is mass media. Anyone with half a brain ought to know that you should never believe everything you read from mass media. Unfortunately, thatā€™s not how reality is. Thatā€™s why mass media are propaganda tools. Xiaxue is a propaganda tool per se, only it propagates extremely distasteful and unnerving ideas.

In the end, successful or not, the least this campaign has done is to show that it doesnā€™t pay to be so irresponsible. In this case, with words.

I would have done the same if sheā€™s a fellow Malaysian, less successful and less pretty.

And I honestly canā€™t comprehend how people could be so naive as to think that two relatively successful companies would drop their treasured ambassadors over ā€œoutburstā€ by two relatively insignifant bloggers. Peter and I are not magicians, you know. Iā€™m born and bred in KL and hell the closest Iā€™ve ever been to any voodoo-ish experience is having a toe spasm. I thought a ghost pinched me lah..

Personally, what she wrote and believes in send goosebumps to my skin, and I dare say Iā€™m not the only who feels the same way.

On another note, part of this campaignā€™s spirit is stemmed from the fact that Iā€™m anal when it comes to corporate conduct. I donā€™t give a damn how you do business, but when you irk people now thatā€™s just bad management.

Itā€™s understandable that people think going after her sponsors is not very nice. Hell, even I wouldnā€™t want people to deprive me of my income. But sheā€™s the very person that is destroying her (hopefully not only single) source of income. Hello, sheā€™s a public figure, and if sheā€™s going to put herself out there to be picked apart then itā€™s her undoing. The world does not owe her a living, if she wants to live on her endorsement deals, she better well fight harder to defend them.

What the hell, itā€™s my blog. Sound awfully familiar?

And I want to say this to all the peeps out there who believe me and Peter are conspiring against poor Xiaxue. I only found out about Peterā€™s emails (which I think are perfectly appropriate) after I made my campaign button and vice versa. Our conscience are as clear as KYā€™s koi pond.

Anyway, personal or not personalā€¦.bla bla bla

Do I look like I care? Iā€™m just someone who believes in something and blogging about it.

To JohnLim who said that he will fire my company, be my guest. In actuality, Xiaxue should hire me as her PR manager.

And on KennySia whoā€™s been going around saying that I shouldnā€™t have used the word ā€˜bitchā€™, tell meā€¦should I have used the word ā€˜poodleā€™ then? All in all, it was said on impulse and will it make you see the big picture if I apologised to Poor Xiaxue that I called her bitch? Then I will apologise to Xiaxue for calling her a bitch, if itā€™s going to make you see better. Sorry, Xiaxue for calling you a bitch.

Iā€™m still behind on my paper. So much reading to do. I wish I were a real MENSA genius.
