Bad to Worst.

Overdue pictures from a night out at Zouk.

+++++++

This morning I found my car’s window shattered. The window at the the driver’s side of my neighbour’s car was shattered too. He had stuff stolen, while things in my car were still in tact. Just what I needed to start the day. With dodgy plastics sticked over the gaping hole, I drove to college hoping it wouldn’t rain. Well, it didn’t rain, but a stupid martherfarker rear-ended me. Fortunately, the rear of my car was virtually unscathed. I called Dad to remind him to buy the lottery. By the way, the digits are 2878.

Reading May‘s entry today made me slightly anxious about Malaysia. I’m usually a very patriotic person. I love my country very much. Sure I bitch about it sometimes, but never to my foreign friends. However, in these few years, things just seem to have gotten from bad to worst. A person I personally know was kidnapped and never been seen since 3 years ago. Dad’s friend was assaulted and robbed, comatosed for a couple of months and woke up a retard. My family’s home was broken into a couple of months ago. Everyday, I read about people getting killed, raped, robbed, assaulted, kidnapped and so on. Sigh.

So, my coping mechanism is that I brush them off as tragedies that are likely to happen everywhere and then thank the local media for its honesty. However, I think my faith in the country is probably approaching the expiry date. What are the cops doing? Why isn’t anything being done to improve our safety? What’s the big deal about amending the law? That won’t make any difference! We need proactive action from the government and police force.

If I had the chance to migrate to another country, say UK or Australia or even Singapore, I’m not sure whether I would refuse it. Oh my gawd, this is like being stuck in a bad relationship. I love you but I can’t stand you.
