From the book of an impoverished student.

Mom bought two phallic looking cincau jelly and I’ve been eyeing them eversince. She still hadn’t got around to make us a jug of refreshing cincau-aid and my patience was running dry. Everytime I opened the fridge, two black phalli starred back at me. After days of frustration and restlessness, a bright idea sprung into mind.

Weird concoction of the week : Neapolitan

-Cornflakes

-Milk

-Cincau jelly (a sort of herbal jelly)

Julienne the cincau jelly. Place them in a deep bowl. Pour cornflakes over it. Pour milk till everything is submerged. Quickly consume before cornflakes turn soggy. Make sure there’re milk, cornflakes and cincau in every spoon. Enjoy.

I had all the signs flung at me. They were all too clear. But I missed all of them. No, I ignored them. I deserve to lose who-knows-how-much. My miserable luck. Oh…0038, how I regret not buying you.

  1. Wow if that’s not a clearer sign than I don’t know what is, next time I’m gonna buy each ticket number I come across start with my GSC movie stub :) But knowing me even if I win first prize most probably I’ll forget the day the results are out and miss it hehe :)

  2. Well I’m sorry you diddn’t win the lottery but my question is, how did that concoction you made tasted like? I can’t imagine it being nice, well to me it doesn’t look enticing :P

    Cheers!!! :D

  3. kervin: the thing was there were signs prior to announcement of the results. i specifically asked for ticket that bears the number, i told my dad i like the design of the ticket and even praised myself for getting the auspicious figures and the mother of it, a girl wore a similar but pink dress with 0083 ticket won a lucky draw (i was raving about the antithesis of it all hehe). sigh…

hyelbaine: the concoction tasted surprisingly similar to the usual cereal+milk cause cincau essentially has no taste, but it is the texture that made it interesting.

doc: deprivation does weird things to you.
